blogo numbero seveno/ unito evaluationo

What was the most challenging aspect of this unit? Explain. What worked well for you in the research project? What helped you learn? Critique the overall human for in art research project. Should this project be taught in ninth grade Humanities English? Why or why not?

Getting started and getting things done was the most challenging part. I think I'm spending too much time concentrating on the blog? I'm not really sure... I'm still having trouble just working on it and being motivated to work on the project... I usually need a specific list of things in order to get stuff done so I've been making those for myself... it was helpful, other wise I get detracted and it is hard to concentrate. I think it should be taught in ninth grade because even thought it was hard to do it is a good challenge that MAKES you work... you cant slack off

GAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!#6!!!!!!!!!!!!

today i started on my presentation, continued to write my written description, i reread some of the things on the project home page and noticed how much more i need to do and realized how little time we have left to do the project. i rewrote the things i lost the day the computers crashed. tomorrow i hope to finish my written description and if i have time to continue doing the presentation and perhaps start writing notes to go along with some of the slides. i should keep on working on everything.... i didn't realize that we have to do cornell notes on the analysis questions... i should do that because i have forgotten about those questions completely and they are the most important part! i have a lot to do....

#5 I DONT KNOW!!!

Where are you at in the project? i don't know where i am... i didn't really understand what i was supposed to be doing until today but now i know what to do

What more do you need to accomplish? i need to find two other works to compare/contrast on and then continue writing the written description then i should start the power point...

Should I change the presentation time limit to 5 - 7 minutes instead of 7 - 10 minutes? YES! please do.... i think that it should be ok to go up to 10 minutes if someone really has a lot about their work then they can still have it ten minutes but right now... where i am i don't think ill be able to make it much longer then five minutes

blog #4

What challenges did you have or do you perceive having in this project? im having trouble just getting started... i dont know when i should be writing in the blog and i feel like im trying to do the blog but then i need to work on doing the work for the art....?
What are your next steps? i feel like im finding things about Hockney and i dont really know where im going with this piece...

March 11th

-I have chosen Le Parc des Sources, Vichy.
-Today I found the original picture that the painting was based off of and learned a lot of background information from
http://www.davidhockney.com/bio.shtml about David Hockney.
-I don't really know what to do next so I guess I'll just find more about Hockney?
-I think I will need to know what to do next!

David and Le Parc

today i used a great site that was a biography of david hockney and found out a lot about him. i thought that many of the websites i looked on were very usful in finding information about david and all his works as a whole but i still dont know where i can find out about the specific painting. i have tried looking at a few web sites but it seems that the only usful information that i have found out about le parc des sources, vichy has been the original book that i found it in.

First blog

So far... I think that the human form art research project has been going pretty good. I really like the piece of art that I chose and I think (and hope) I'll be able to find out a lot of information about it! I'm really hoping that I wont get stuck and become frustrated later with the painting...
I want to find out more about the artist and the two men in the painting. Where should I look to find out about this?
My next step is to find more about David Hockney...
